アキシッド（ニザチダイン）は、胃で分泌される酸の量を減らすためのＨ２リセプター（受体）抑制剤です。　ヒスタミンが胃の側面の膜にＨＡリセプターが結びつくのを抑制し、それにより、日中も夜中も胃酸の分泌を抑えます。

また、アキシッドはカフェインやインシュリン、食べ物、ベタゾール、ペンタガストリンに対する胃の反応を軽減させます。　胃液の量を全体的に抑えることによって、酵素ペプシンの分泌が劇的に減少します。　アキシッドは胃の粘膜の治療を促し、アスピリンや非ステロイド系の炎症性の薬によって引き起こされる炎症から胃粘膜を保護します。

アキシッドは以下の症状に対して効果的であると実証されています。
　�@糜爛（びらん）性潰瘍食道炎を含む食道炎、ＧＥＲＤに起因する胸やけ
　�A活性十二指腸潰瘍

アキシッドを服用する際には、制酸剤を同時に服用してはいけません。　他の薬を服用する場合には、アキシッドを服用してから必ず１時間あけてから服用するようにします。　１２歳以下の子供は服用してはいけません。

＊治療済みの十二指腸潰瘍のその後のケア　-　一日1回、150ｍｇ錠を1錠服用します。

＊ＧＥＲＤまたは胸やけ　-　就寝の約1時間前に150ｍｇ錠を2錠、または300ｍｇ錠を1錠服用します。

Axid 100 (300mg) Tablets for Acid Reflux

Axid(Nizatidine) is an H2 receptor antagonist used to reduce the amount of acid released in the stomach. Axid inhibits the binding of histamine to the HA-receptors on the gastric busolateral membrane, which reduces daytime and nighttime gastric acid secretions.

Axid also decreases acid responses to caffeine, insulin, foods, Betazole, and Pentagastrin. By reducing the total volume of gastric juice, the secretion of the enzyme, Pepsin, is dramatically reduced. Axid may actually promote gastromucosal healing and may protect the mucosa from irritants caused by aspirin and nonsteroidal inflammatory products.

Axid has been proven to be quite effective in the treatment of the following afflictions:

1. Esophagitis, including erosive an ulcerative esophagitis, and associated heartburn due to GERD (gastroesphageal reflux disease)
2. Active duodenal ulcer
3. Maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcer after healing an active duodenal ulcer
4. Active benign gastric ulcer

Never take antacids at the same time that you are taking Axid. Always wait an hour in between before using any other product with Axid. This medication is not intended for usage with anyone under twelve years of age.

Directions: Axid tablets can be taken twice a day by mouth. Never double the amount taken the next day if a treatment is missed. Since Axid is used to treat various conditions, please read the following for the affliction that applies to your illness:

For the treatment of an active benign duodenal or gastric ulcer - Take one 150mg tablet twice a day or 300mg at bedtime
For the maintainence of a healed duodenal ulcer - Take one 150mg tablet once a day
For GERD and heartburn - Take two 150mg tablets or one 300mg tablet about one hour before going to bed
