乾癬治療薬・ニキビ治療薬　タゾラック　（クリーム、ジェル　0.05％・0.1％　　30ｇチューブ）

この医薬品はアメリカでは購入に際し、専門医師の診断を受けて発行された処方せんが必要とされる"処方せん薬"（日本では要指示薬とも呼ばれます）です。

　　タゾラック・クリームは、体の20％までの乾癬を治療する目的のものとして承認されています。　　また、タゾラックはニキビの治療薬としても承認されています。　タゾラック・クリームは、合成タザロチンを配合した白いクリームです。　臨床実験によると、乾癬患者の70％に対し、治療効果があったと報告されています。　タゾラックは、頭皮や顔を含む体全体に安全に使用できます。　また、臨床実験により、12週以上タゾラッククリームを継続して使用した場合、確かな効果があることがわかりました。　

　　完全に立証されたわけではありませんが、タゾラック（レチノイド）は、マウスの細胞性表皮のオルニチン活動を防御するようです。　タゾラックは、炎症を起こす細胞が皮膚に流入するのを正常にしたり、軽減したりするようです。

副作用：よくみられる副作用は以下の通りです。皮膚が熱くなる、乾燥する、ひりひりする、かゆくなる、痛くなる、皮がむける、赤くなる、ずきずきする。　乾癬の症状が悪化することもあります。　

時々起こりうる副作用は以下の通りです。　変色、発疹、出血、ひびわれ、炎症、日光にあたることによって肌が赤くなる、はれるなど。

注意：タゾラックは、胎児に影響を及ぼします。　もし、妊娠していたり、その可能性がある場合には、すぐ使用を中止して医師の診断を受けて下さい。

承認：1997年6月、乾癬治療薬として米国ＦＤＡに承認済み。　また、2001年10月には、ニキビの治療薬としても承認されています。

使用法：一日一回、乾癬の症状がでている箇所にごく薄くクリームを塗ります。　症状のない箇所には塗らないよう注意して下さい、肌をひりひりさせることがあります。　使用前に入浴したりシャワーを浴びた場合は、肌が完全に乾いてから塗るようにします。　特に、目と口には塗らないよう注意して下さい。

タゾラックは、外用専用です。　

使用中、一時的に患部が熱くなったり、ひりひりすることがあります。　

タゾラック使用中は、できるだけ日光やサンランプに長時間当たらないようにします。　また、極端に強い風にあたったり、寒い場所にいると肌がひりひりすることがあります。　

12歳以下の子供に対しては、安全性、効果は実証されていません。

Psoriasis -   Tazorac  ( 0.05%/0.10%,   Cream/Gel )  30g Tube

  Tazorac Cream  (Tazarotene) has been approved for usage in the treatment of plaque psoriasis on up to 20% of the body. In addition, Tazorac Cream has been approved for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Tazorac is a white cream that contains the compound Tazarotene. This active ingredient has been shown to successfully treat plaque psoriasis in over 70% of the patients treated with this affliction in clinical studies. Tazorac can be used safely on almost the entire body including the scalp and face. In clinical studies Tazorac demonstrated consistent improvement for patients continually using the Tazorac Cream  over a period of 12 weeks.

 Though not completely verified, it is thought that Tazorac Cream, a retinoid, appears to block mouse epidermal ornithine activity. Tazarotene seems to normalize and reduce the influx of inflammatory cells into the skin.

Side Effects: The most common side effects that may occur while using Tazorac Cream are burning, dry skin, irritation, itching, skin pain, skin peeling, skin reddening, stinging, a possible worsening of psoriasis. Less common side effects may include discoloration, rash, skin bleeding, skin cracking, skin inflammation, skin reddening due to sun-exposure, and possible swelling.

Adverse Effect: Tazorac may cause severe birth defects. Do not use Tazorac if there is any chance that you are pregnant. If you unexpectedly become or find out that you are pregnant, stop using Tazorac and call your doctor immediately.

Ingredients: The active ingredients are Tazarotene and Benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The inactive ingredients are carbomer 934P, carbomer 1342, edetate disodium, medium chain triglycerides, mineral oil, purified water, sodium thiosulfate, sorbitan monooleate and sodium hydroxide to adjust the pH.

Approvals: Tazorac Cream was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in June of 1997. Tazorac Cream was approved by the FDA for the treatment of acne vulgaris in October of 2001.

Directions: Apply a thin film of the cream to your psoriasis areas once a day, specifically in the evening. Carefully avoid applying this product to unaffected skin since Tazorac Cream may be irritating to non-lesional skin. If you bathe or shower before using Tazorac Cream, make certain that the skin is dry before you apply Tazorac Cream. Be extremely careful to avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Tazorac is intended for external use only. During initial usage, Tazorac may cause a temporary feeling of burning or stinging. It is necessary to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or sunlamps while using Tazorac. Apply sunscreen (at least SPF 15) and wear protective clothing when you go into the sunlight. Please be aware that extreme wind or cold may cause skin irritation. The safety and effectiveness of this drug have not been tested in children under 12.
