Famed designer Jessica McClintock, a 1950 graduate of Boston
University received an award this year for outstanding service to the
fashion design profession. Ms. McClintock is president and CEO of
Jessica McClintock, Inc., a $140 million company headquartered in San
Francisco. She is noted for being in the Top 50 Business Owners since
1994. Jessica McClintock, who grew up in Presque Isle, Maine, never
studied design. She learned about fabric from her grandmother, who
loved to sew. After graduation from Boston University, Ms. McClintock
moved to California. In 1969, while living in San Mateo, she began
working as a designer at a small apparel company known as Gunne Sax.
She became a partner at the Company. She loved the business, and the
customers loved her dresses.
In 1987 Jessica McClintock launched the fragrance, Jessica McClintock.
This wonderful scent is classified as a refreshing, flowery fragrance.
The actual blend of citrus notes of lemon, along with basil, white
rose, and white jasmine, features top notes of cassis, bergamot and
ylang-ylang and a middle note of white florals. This absolutely
